What I Wish I Knew My First Year
I put a lot of pressure on myself during freshman year to do as much as I can. I wanted to join every club and get every internship and ace every test. I saw people around me accomplishing things and felt that I was falling behind. The reality is that I was moving at my own pace, achieving my own goals, and just because somebody else is succeeding does not mean I am failing.
Favorite Place on Campus
There is sort of a “hidden” greenhouse on the 9th floor of one of Loyola’s buildings. It’s just a small, quiet study space with lots of plants and natural sunlight, which is a refreshing change of scenery from the busy, dark library.
