Resources for Students

While we respond to coronavirus by temporarily suspending group and in-person programming, we remain committed to supporting each of the 170+ first-generation students we serve. We’ve adapted our programming and launched innovative resources to continue providing support to our students and partners.

    We have curated resource that can help during the COVID-19 crisis. This guide includes resources, programs and community groups that can help with health and wellness, employment, food support, and more. We’ve included the most common types of support requested by PWFC students and families.

  • Program Updates

    At Pass With Flying Colors, our programs are tailored to the needs of each student. While in-person programming is suspended, we are continuing to serve students in the following ways:

    • Phone support for high school seniors to address financial aid and college decision process, and ongoing check-ins with all students
    • Technology loans so high school and college students can complete e-learning requirements and stay on-track academically
    • Do Something! Challenge toolkit launched online to help PWFC scholars and other first-generation students make progress on plans for summer employment, summer learning, internships, and college and career exploration programs
    • Cohort Cup Competition among cohorts to earn points through virtual service projects and weekly online quiz competitions.
    • Video Tip Series posted online 3-4 times weekly to share tips and resources unable to be shared in sessions. Topics include updates on college decision timelines, how to continue college research, SAR updates, stress management, asking for help, summer program research and more.
    • Webinars and video forums to support high school and college students.
    • Virtual internship platform being explored.
    • Referrals and resources for food, health care, internet services and other needs.
